Haverhill, MA - APEM Components, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high quality miniature and industrial switches, now offers its 600 Series toggle switches with custom actuators. These highly durable toggle switches are ideal for use in numerous high power application industries, including motor control, where difficult capacitive and inductive circuits are a challenge.

APEM’s 600 Series toggle switches feature resistance-welded, silver/nickel alloy contacts to handle higher power ratings up to 15 amps at 125 or 250 VAC or 10 amps at 400 VAC. Peak currents up to 150 amps at 250 VAC for selective models are available with an electrical life of 10,000 cycles minimum at full load. Other electrical specifications include maximum initial contact resistance of 10 milliohms, insulation resistance of 1000 megohms minimum at 500 VDC, and dielectric strength of 2000 V rms minimum between terminals and 2500 V rms between terminals and switch frame.

These rugged switches are offered in single, double and triple pole versions, with 2 or 3 position configurations available in numerous ON, OFF maintained and momentary action combinations. The 600 Series models mount into a .480 diameter panel hole and are available with either bright nickel or black hardware. Additional options include grounding lugs and security guards.

Optional actuators include a nickel plated brass large bat style, an insulated black polyamide large flatted style, a short toggle with attractive gold plating finish, and 3 spring loaded locking lever styles that prevent accidental switch actuation. APEM’s 600 Series are available in both solder lug/quick connects and screw type terminals. Various models also carry and are labeled with UL, CSA and NF-VDE recognition markings.
