HIGH PERFORMANCE FULLY SEALED TOGGLE SWITCHES
APEM's 3500 series military style toggle switches feature molded-in terminal inserts and a
silicone case seal that enables them to withstand 0.1 bar pressure under total immersion. These
robust models also carry CECC contact ratings of 16 amps at 250 VAC and 15 amps at 32
VDC with a minimum life of 10,000 cycles. UL and CSA lists ratings up to 20 amps, 125
VAC, 3/4 HP, 15 amps, 250 VAC, 1.5 HP and T5, 115 VAC, 50/400 Hz for these high
reliability models.
Single and double pole models are offered in an extensive range of single and double throw
electrical configurations, including the popular ON-OFF, ON-ON, MOM OFF MOM, ON
OFF MOM and ON OFF ON models. Other electricals include initial contact resistance of 10
milliohms max., insulation resistance of 1000 megohms min. and dielectric strength of 3000 V
rms between terminals and frame.
The standard actuator is a chrome or nickel plated bat .238" dia. x .688" long, but 4 others are
optional including a flatted style and one with a fluorescent tip for visibility under adverse glare
conditions. Additional actuator finishes are available. An extensive offering of locking actuator
styles is also optional for those critical safety applications where deliberate action is required to
actuate the switch, or where positive resistance against excessive shock or vibration is essential.
The single pole body size is .591"w x 1.260"h x 1.236"d, while the double pole is .905"w with
the same height and depth. Solder lug/quick-connect or screw terminals are optional. Superior
quality engineering materials include silver cadmium oxide contacts and UL94-VO rated
insulating material.
Pricing for a representative single pole model, no. 3531021N000, is $9.40 each in 1000 piece
quantities.
The 3500 series models will satisfy many critical switching applications in numerous industries
where safety and high reliability are essential.
Contact The McCoy Group for more information on these and many other switch types.
